With over 50 years of life experience and a passion for authentic storytelling, KL Hooker creates music that resonates with the heart. A seasoned songwriter who splits time between Florida and New York, Larry crafts songs across country and Americana, blue-eyed soul and R&B, pop, and Latin genres, drawing from decades of observation and personal experience.

From intimate acoustic performances to full-band productions, KL Hooker's catalog of 210+ original songs captures life's pivotal moments—love found and lost, lessons learned, and the freedom that comes with embracing who you are. About the Music

With over 50 years as a performing songwriter, I still perform many of these songs live. However, as a storyteller, I believe some songs deserve voices beyond my own to honor their message authentically.

Songs like "My Life's Gone Amiss" and "Half Not Whole" address the pain of abusive relationships from a woman's perspective - stories that need a woman's voice to convey their truth. Similarly, my love for R&B and Motown-inspired music is best served by voices that can truly honor those genres.

Using modern AI vocal technology allows me to expand my storytelling range while maintaining complete creative control over every lyric, melody, and arrangement. The songs, the stories, and the soul are mine - the voices are chosen to serve the song.
